The Underrepresented: How to make MS Research and Clinical Trials more inclusive for the black
My goal is to empower black individuals living with MS and support them in becoming their own health advocates. My mission is to promote inclusivity and representation in MS spaces, such as MS medical research, MS charities, and the media, for the black MS community. Several studies have shown that MS has a higher prevalence in people of black heritage than previously believed. Therefore, I believe that silence is not an option.
It is an honour for me to support AIMS charity because the care and support they provided me during my intense Stem Cell Transplant journey was invaluable. As the only charity in the UK of its kind, AIMS charity deserves all the support so that it can continue doing amazing work for the people they serve.
